Secretary-General's message on the International Day of Persons with Di****lities

More than 1 billion people in the world live with some form of di****lity. In many societies, persons with di****lities often end up disconnected, living in isolation and facing discrimination.
　　 全世界十亿多人有某种残疾，在许多社会里，残疾人往往与社会脱离，生活孤独，面临歧视。
In its pledge to leave no one behind, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development represents a commitment to reducing inequality and promoting the social, economic and political inclusion of all, including people with di****lities. That means implementing the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Di****lities, in all contexts and in all countries. It also means integrating the voices and concerns of people with di****lities into national agendas and policies.
　　 《2030年可持续发展议程》誓言不让任何人掉队，就是承诺减少不平等现象，促进包括残疾人在内的所有人的社会、经济和政治融合。这意味着在任何情况下、在所有国家执行联合国《残疾人权利公约》。这也意味着将残疾人的声音和关切纳入国家议程和政策。
Today, the United Nations is issuing the UN Flagship Report on Di****lity and Development 2018 – Realizing the SDGs by, for and with persons with di****lities. The Report shows that people with di****lities are at a disadvantage regarding most Sustainable Development Goals, but also highlights the growing number of good practices that can create a more inclusive society in which they can live independently.
　　 今天，联合国发布了《联合国2018年残疾与发展问题旗舰报告——残疾人实现和参与推动可持续发展目标，享受其惠益》。报告显示，就多数可持续发展目标而言，残疾人处于弱势，但报告也指出，出现了越来越多的良好做法，这些做法可以创造一个更加包容、残疾人能够独立生活的社会。
On this International Day, let us reaffirm our commitment to work together for a better world that is inclusive, equitable and sustainable for everyone, where the rights of people with di****lities are fully realized.
