昨天在写“美军舞会”一文时，涉及到了“fallen comrade table”，查阅相关中文资料时，没有找到任何相关信息，于是自己来科普一下。Fallen Comrade Table，也是自己翻译的这个词牌，罹难战士圆桌。当然若谁有相关的中文资料，也请分享一下或者由更好的翻译也是极好的。

罹难战士餐桌，英文原称Missing Man Table（失踪者餐桌）或者 Fallen Comrade Table（遇难同志餐桌），是包括美军和加拿大军对战死、失踪和被俘虏官兵的纪念。这种仪式最早起源自越战时期美军对战俘和失踪人士的关注。

罹难战士餐桌一般摆设在美军基地食堂、USO（美国劳工部）驻机场军人休息处，还有就是军队舞会上。每当在仪式上设有罹难战士餐桌时，主持人都要向到场嘉宾详解餐桌布置的寓意。

Table is round to show our everlasting concern.
桌面是圆的，来表示我们永恒的关心。
Table cloth is white symbolizes the purity of their intentions to respond to their country's call to arms.
桌布是白的，寓意他们在响应国家召唤时纯洁的动机。
Single red rose, displayed in a vase, reminds us of the life of each of our fallen comrades, and the loved ones and friends of these comrades who keep the faith.
一朵红玫瑰插在花瓶中，提醒着我们每一位落难士兵的生命和那些一直真诚爱着他们的亲人。
The vase is tied with a red ribbon, symbolize of our continued determination to remember our fallen comrades.
花瓶上系着红丝带，象征我们对他们的不断思念的决心（也有系黄丝带，象征盼望他们早日回归）。
Slice of lemon is on the bread plate is to remind us of their bitter fate of those who will never return.
一片柠檬提醒着我们，那些无法归乡人们的苦楚命运。
There is salt upon the bread plate.. symbolic of the family's tears as they wait.
一小撮食盐象征在等待他们的家人付出的泪水
The Holy Book represents the strength gained through faith to sustain those lost from our country
圣经代表用信仰的力量使那些迷失的生命捍卫着我们的国家
Glass is inverted， they cannot toast with us tonight.
倒置的酒杯，他们无法与我们共醉今宵
Chair is empty，they are not here.
空席的椅子，他们还是没有来。

罹难战士圆桌上的“致哀”文和桌面摆设有时候因场合的原因有所不同。在极为隆重的场合，比如美军海陆空联合舞会，圆桌将会依照联合军的数量，附带多把椅子并将服役的帽子放在桌面上。最高级别的圆桌会设六把椅子，寓意陆军、海军、空军、海军陆战队、海岸警卫队五个武装力量和为国牺牲的市民。
黄丝带也经常用来装饰餐桌，系在花瓶上替换红丝带，表达不管机会多么渺茫，我们依然坚信他们能够回来。
罹难战士圆桌一般和“战俘旗”一起布置会场，再次验证了美军对待战俘如同英雄一般的价值观。
