SNAJDAN RETURNS IN BLANK
Former SK Gaming member Mattias "Snajdan" Andersen is back after a long hiatus on a new team called Blank.
Mattias "Snajdan" Andersen enjoyed a rapid rise to prominence in the early 2000s with Adrenaline and 4Kings before linking up with SK Gaming, whom he would lead to two CPL wins in 2005 and a victory at SEC 2007.
After a first attempt at making a comeback in 2013 with Begrip, the 31-year-old has now put together a new squad called Blank - the same name of the team he represented in 2008 alongside the likes of Johan "face" Klasson, Jimmy "Jumpy" Berndtssonand Rasmus "Gux" Ståhl.
Snajdan makes a return in Blank
The latter is precisely one of the players who will be part of the roster. The 28-year-old, who is known for his time with fnatic and SK Gaming, played for a mix team called Gux & Friends in the last edition of ESEA Premier alongside HellRaisers duo Özgür "woxic" Eker and Issa "ISSAA" Murad.
Rounding out the roster are three players with plenty of competitive experience in CS:GO: Mathias "pauf" Köhler, who was part of the original GODSENT lineup, Frej "kHRYSTAL"Sjöström, a former member of Preparation and Team Acer, and Daniel "t3h f4rm3r" Börzsönyi, who competed at last year's ESWC event with Wyvern.
"Today we announce some familiar faces in the CS 1.6 scene who have somehow been forgotten in the CS:GO scene by a lot of people," the team said in a statement.
"Some of the players competed on a professional level in CS 1.6 for many years and have been slowly transitioning into CS:GO.
"Some people nowadays maybe only know who pauf is and may have forgotten who the other players are, but Gux and kHRYSTAL were raw killing machines, while Snajdan was one of the top ingame leaders.
"We believe that we will be a strong unit and want to compete at the highest level, some of the players lack some hours within the game, but that will come with time.
"We are all very eager to start playing and to fully focus on the game, and we are on the lookout for an organisation. You can contact us at [email protected]."
Blank's lineup consists of the following players:
