2018年7月12日，尼泊尔赠与中国的一对独角犀牛承载着尼泊尔人民对中国人民的深情厚谊，飞往广州。很快，另一对犀牛也将启程前往中国定居。中国古人视犀牛为祥瑞之兽。文学上用灵犀表达人与人之间心领神会，感情共鸣。用唐代大诗人李商隐脍炙人口的诗句“心有灵犀一点通”形容中尼友好是恰如其分的。A pair of one-horned rhinos was gifted to China by cargo flight on July 12, 2018, bearing profound friendship of the Nepali people to the Chinese people. Very soon, another pair of rhinos will set off to settle in China. Rhino was considered auspicious in China by the ancients. People believed rhino horn had the magic function of "mind reading". For the Chinese literati, rhino horn literally means the tacit understanding and the meeting of minds between people. The rhinos remind me of the friendship between China and Nepal with mutual understanding as one of its features.

中尼两国山水相连，唇齿相依。公元5世纪，中国高僧法显和尼泊尔高僧佛陀跋陀罗开启了两国交往先河。尺尊公主出嫁松赞干布，播下两国世代友好的种子。玄奘法师和阿尼哥继往开来,为中尼友好续写华章。1955年中国与尼泊尔建交，两国关系进入新的发展时期。63年风雨历程，我们共同经历了国际社会的风云变幻；共同度过了地区形势的斗转星移；共同战胜了自然灾害的肆虐疮痍。纵然风谲云诡，两国政府与人民始终心犀相通，命运与共，共同打造世代友好的全面合作伙伴关系。China and Nepal are linked by mountains and rivers. In the 5th century AD, the Chinese monk Fa Xian and the Nepali monk Buddhabhadra set the milestone of significant exchanges between the two countries. The marriage between Srongtsen Gampo and Princess Bhrikuti sowed the seeds of friendship from generation to generation. Master Xuan Zang and Araniko opened the new chapter of the friendship between China and Nepal. Since China and Nepal established diplomatic ties in 1955, relations between the two countries entered a new stage of development. In the past 63 years, we have experienced the immense transformation of the international community; we have shared the ups and downs of regional situation; we have overcome the ravages of natural disasters. Whenever confronted with difficulties, the governments and peoples of the two countries have always been understanding each other. The two countries jointly established the relations of Comprehensive Partnership of Cooperation Featuring Ever-Lasting Friendship.
