Please tell me if you can do it in your next email, OK? thanks. Taste Australia It is Sunday today, October 16,2005, I have just been back from Ellie's home. I am still staying in Jane's home. Camaron's music is lingering around me, it is so nice and cosy here exactly like being at my own home. I am writing with music as my company. Friday, October 14, 2005, You'll never know what Australian life is like until you come into an Australian family and join their life. That's what I am going to do for the weekend. At about 3:50, I got into Jane's car. It is a big cosy car. She told me she lives right at the foot of Blue mountains. Yes, nobody who has got a chance to Australia will miss the trip to this famous mountains, which is definitely a dreamy place to me. I couldn't wait to see it. But I never expected my dream could come true so soon. She also told me her husband is a priest and she would take me to the church on Sunday, wow, I couldn't helping cheering out, that's exactly another thing that intereted me for a long time. Religion means too much to the western culture, if you don't touch the religious life of the western world you will know nothing about western culture. As an English learner I certainly put a visit to the church on the list of my Autralian trip. I wanted to know what was going on there, I wanted to feel the holy atmosphere there. on the way home, Jane kept asking me what I would I like to eat and what I would love to do. I had got only one answer to all her questions,"Everything, I want to feel everything about Australia, I won't refuse to eat anything , I would like all the things new, different, alien to me, so you don't even need to ask me, I would follow you to do anything you do as usual."" plus, I won't follow you to your bedroom with your husband around." I was just joking. But You know what she showed me around her house as soon as we got to her home including their bedroom, her husband was not there of course. It was a long ride from St. Paul's school to her house. we really talked a lot on the way home. She was a beautiful elegant woman, oh I had pictures with her family, you would see how beautiful she is and her family are. Her husband is a priest in BLUE Mounts church. But he used to be a history professer in a university. Her younger daugher herited a lot from him I think, because she chose architecture as a major for her college life, that was a hard and boring subject for most of the kids, I think. But Jane told me she just loved that. She was fascinated with ancient Rome, Greece and Egypt. I told her the truth that was part of my interest. But all I loved to know is the mystery behind it. I love to read books about them. I am curious about ancient history. That's all. To choose it as a major to study is another thing, it would be too boring to me. But Jane was still amazed,"yes? you do? You have common interest to share." oh, she was just an lovely woman. I love her so much. It took us a long time before we waved into the Blue Mounts.(I don't know how long it is to be exact. I had no watch aroud, I would rather forget about the time. I really have too much ahead to enjoy, time is treasure to me, every minute counts.) It was nothing but forests and flowers and Australian style houses hiding behind green and flowers. we were catching the time, so she drove very fast, trees and flowers flew into my eyes and then flashed away, then more colorful ones would come to replace them. I was just overwhelmed by so many colors of the trees and flowers. In the beginning I thought the scenery here was more like autumn than spring. Because there were so many trees wearing dark green, yellow and brown and even red. Especially in the far distance they were nothing but maple trees walking out of pictures. I couldn't believe they were real, from time to time I kept forgetting I was already in Australia, yes , I was truly in Australia, a complete new land new continent to me. I am touching Australia.
