1. did you want to be a famous singer since you were a kid?
nope, with me that wasn't the case. i was always busy with music but i actually wanted to be a dancer. dance was my desire and my life. later, i realised that i also wanted to sing. a teacher heard me once in the hallway and told me to join the school choir. i thought she was joking but i realised that i could sing, even though i'd never had a singing lesson before then. i guess i was a natural talent.
2. do you have to be determined in order to be a singer?
if you have a dream, you follow it. life's too short not to do that. it might always remain a dream but at least you gave it a go. when you have a dream, there's a big chance that it won't come true. you have no idea how many times i've had the door slammed in my face and how often i got rejected. even now that i've made it, i still have set-backs. everyone has an opinion of me and it's not always positive. everyone that wants to be a star has to learn to live with criticism and bad opinions, even if they're not always true.
3. do you have to believe in yourself?
yes. it might be a bit of a strong phrase but you definitely have to have some confidence. you're the one that has to give a hundred percent. and since you have that one chance to be successful, you have to work hard, be prepared and push yourself. me, i strive for perfection. i want to know that i've given it my best shot. that way i'm more comfortable in my own shoes.
4. is it important for you to look good?

7. how important is it that your parents support you?
quite important. obviously you want your parents to be proud of you. my parents have always supported me either way. that's probably also because i've always been somebody they could trust. i'm quite open, talk to them about everything and am quite good at deciding what's good for me and what's not. so i'm quite a positive person, as are my parents. i know my responsibilities but i've also had a lot of luck with such calm, relaxed parents.
8. what else can you tell us about the pop industry?
it's fun but it's important that you keep both feet firmly on the ground. always have your eye on what you want and not what someone else wants from you. wear stuff that you feel comfortable in, not what your manager finds sexy. sing songs that you find beautiful and not because they have #1-potential written all over them. in short: love your work.
9. is a good manager something that's important to you?
fortunately i have a fantastic manager and the whole team around me is great, but believe me, it's taken 6 years to find that. i think the last few years have really changed. i look for good qualities in a manager, like stability and trust. the funny thing is, my manager is from the same place as me. and my make-up artist is a childhood friend.
10. what are your goals?
what do i want to achive? that's a good question. my peers and people in the industry are all about the material things and that's what's important to them while for me, that has little meaning. good friendships are way more important to me, real friends- people that would stick by me even if i wasn't famous. also, no matter how hard you work, luck's a good thing to have. (can't figure out the rest haha, sorry. there's only like, 2 sentences left
