In order to choose fairly which candidates to interview, we have introduced an assessment task. We are inviting you to submit 5 A4 drawings that record a journey and/or the thresholds:
- from a small to a large space OR
- from an enclosed to an open space OR
- from a private to a public space
Whichever theme you choose your drawings need to communicate ways of recording and seeing the world.
They should be drawn from reality and not copied from photographs. They should focus on real objects, spaces, and places and on their spatial qualities; the relation of your body to space, the context, light and darkness, texture, materiality, etc. Each drawing should come with an explanatory sentence, and an indication of the time spent on drawing it, noted on the back of the page
