不得不说，伊凡作为游戏当中六位起源角色中最主要的一位角色，他有着和主线联系最密切的个人任务，而且也是比较容易引起玩家共鸣的一位好大叔。相比较其他几位队友的故事，除了伊凡和费恩，其他几位队友的故事线和主线的联系都不算那么大，而且剧情长度也不算太长，甚至有某位队友的故事线在无名岛就结束了（对，说的就是你Sebille），所以某种意义上伊凡也可以可以说是最主要的一位男主角。如果新手玩家不苛求难度等因素，又不想自己新建任务开局，强烈建议选择伊凡开局。

如同大家一样，我听说过很多关于这个男人的传奇故事，他是一位英勇的战争英雄，粉碎了卢西安军队中的黑色集团成员。他是一位虔诚的圣骑士，将自己的一生都奉献给了神界教团。当然上述这些经历好像和我亲眼见到的他不太搭。。。当我用他那些过去的头衔来尊称他时，他不禁可怕的冷笑了起来。而当我问及他是否现在效忠于卢西安之子——主教亚历山大时，他又一次笑了起来，但是这一次的笑声更像是狼啸。看起来本梅兹先生现在已经成为了一位雇佣兵，并且和臭名昭著的独狼佣兵团合作。
让我来告诉你吧，我听过那些关于独狼们的故事，他们的故事可不是在酒馆火炉旁聊天娱乐的轻松笑话，我感觉比较适合那些陷入恐惧的人，时刻提醒自己和自己的同伴，天黑请不要闭眼。那些得知被盯上的可怜人，当得知“银爪”就在他们身后时往往都会吓得面无血色。伊凡像是一匹幽灵狼一般追踪着自己的猎物，进行着一次又一次看似不可能的契约。
我尽了最大的能力，但是还是无法从这个绿瞳的男人守口如瓶，之前的那些有好有坏的传闻，他一件也没有确认或是否定。他只是呲呲牙，告诉我，每个人都有他的价格。我现在回想一下，我不知道为什么在那片海风吹拂的沙滩上遇见伊凡并没有让我感到恐惧。但我现在知道，毫无疑问，当时在我身边的人是这片大路上最危险的一个男人，而我当时没有感到恐惧的原因，也许是我依然认为他心怀着过去的荣誉感，但也可能是因为我的小命可能还是不值得有人花个大价钱去雇“银爪”来杀我。
我和他聊了一段时间，并且试图去揭示他的过去或者未来打算，不过他确实很擅长转移话题，但也多多少少告诉了我一些，值得一提的是，我能看到在他告诉我这些事情时候，眼神中所闪烁的怒火，可能他不喜欢隐瞒事物的感觉，或许换个环境，他就会吐露心声了。
战士，雇佣兵，刺客，小偷，猎人，旅行者，神射手，伊凡可以称得上是多才多艺。我们我们希望他的盔甲可以显得轻便实用，而由于实惠的价格和出色的弹性，中世纪风格的锁子甲是一个很酷的选择。同时我们也希望能够从外形中强调他的不同的起源（应该是指在精灵部落里长大，图里可以看到他的剑有些精灵的风格），所以我们给他加了很多小细节，比如他的项链，长剑和匕首。他也有些浮夸，因此会带着戒指，耳环，和装饰十分精美的十字弩。他甚至会将自己的外套直接敞开，十分轻蔑地对付自己的敌人。当然这有点虚张声势了。

He simply bared hiscanines and told me that every man hashis price. Thinking back, I do not know why I felt no fear on that windswept beach. I was, I knownow without a doubt, pestering one ofthe most dangerous men in the land. Perhaps I felt there was still a sense of honour within him. Or perhaps I knew therewas no-one in the world willing to paythe bounty the Silver Claw would demandfor my life. We spoke for some time, I trying to draw him on his past (or his future), he deflecting myquestions with skill. He told me verylittle, and yet, there was a fierce animation in his eyes as he spoke. A sensethat he disliked having to hold back.That perhaps, were circumstances different, his story could be told.
