以下劇透出自 Vampirecat,我不知道能不能發帖,先發發試試看。這一話只有19 頁,有點令人失望。
Ch.253 opens right where ch.252 left off, with Kyouko taking in the comment of the Jewel guys about how Kimiko is invested in another guy and shouldn't have the slightest interest in Ren. She's initially shocked, and then she wonders if she misheard. The two Jewel guys continue their discussion, one guy pointing out they don't understand what the ring's about and wondering how Kimiko made Ren provide the ring and for what purpose. They describe Kimiko as a bloodless and tearless woman who's apparently secretly nicknamed "Niko-chan" by everyone who's interacted with her. The explanation for the nickname is because the kanji for "Kimi" in "Kimiko" (仁子) combines the kanji of "person" (人) and "ni" (二), and since Kimiko is a person who doesn't have a person's heart, then if the kanji for "person" is removed from her name, what's left is "Niko."
After hearing that, Kanae leaves, explaining to Kyouko that she doesn't want to get involved. (All this time, Kyouko and Kanae only saw the backs of the Jewel guys; however, Kanae identifies them as Erika's henchment.) She wants to forget how the Jewel guys had shadowed her for years, but there's no way she can forget. Then Kanae stops in thought, and Kyouko asks her what's wrong. Kanae replies that since Erika's hangers-on are here, she wonders if it means Erika is also here. Kyouko thinks chances are good that Kanae is right.
Kanae turns to Kyouko and asks what Kyouko will do. Kanae plans to head back to the waiting room, but she asks whether Kyouko will try to get info out of the two Jewel guys. She points out that they seem to be knowledgeable, having completed a thorough investigation of Kimiko and Ren.
Scene switch to the audition hall. Kimiko's presenting a nice face, saying Kyouko's looking as if she hadn't been listening to anything and then pulling off the assigned scene was a trick, and complimenting Kyouko as amazing. Kimiko confesses she hadn't studied samurai etiquette, she doesn't think she could have done that. She adds that she didn't understand the reason, so she'd been uneasy, and thanks Kuresaki for explaining. Kuresaki asks if she watched Kyouko's performance. Kimiko confesses that she did from the second floor because she was curious. He points out that it's improper and that he hates dishonesty. She admits that her uncle had spoken to her about Kuresaki's nobility (yeah, it sounds like she's buttering him up) and that the order that must be followed should be followed, no matter what role she wants. She pulls out a puppy-eyed look, then says she's prepared.
Outside the audition hall, Yashiro's shocked to hear that Kimiko has withdrawn from the audition. Kimiko's manager confirms this, explaining that Kimiko had seen Kyouko's performance and she seems to have lost her fighting spirit. Yashiro doesn't believe her, though, having seen Kimiko's expression when she came down the stairs; he thinks Kimiko only looked pissed.
Scene switch to outside the building. Someone (probably the Jewel guy) notes the next stage hasn't started and wonders whether Kimiko is complaining again. Erika doesn't say anything, but the representative of the production committee walks up to Erika, saying it seems Kimiko has withdrawn from "Momiji." He'd received a call from his subordinate who stayed behind in the audition hall to substitute for him. He then asks if Erika is the daughter of the Kouenji group. He recalls that Erika had used a different family name in the previous Momiji audition. He introduces himself as being with the production committee of Hachisu. She replies that she remembers him, the judge Nihashi-san, and explains that she didn't want them to be biased because she bears the name of Kouenji, so she borrowed everything from a maternal cousin (female). She planned on telling her father when she clinched "Momiji." He says it's a pity and adds that he'd heard she'd met with terrible misfortune and what's important is she's safe.
Erika asks him why he deliberately left the audition hall to go to her. He says he didn't have a purpose, then remembers he'd gotten an urgent order from the main office. The daughter of the Kouenji group might be somewhere near the audition hall, so he's to search for her immediately and if he finds her, he's to entertain her politely. She wonders why such info got to the production committee. He explains that her father was apparently contacted them, extremely flustered, saying his daughter disappeared from the residence, she might be at the audition grounds, so check it for him. Her father said that even when he tried contacting her attendants, he couldn't contact any of them.
The Jewel guy with Erika remembers he's switched off his cell phone soon after he'd arrived because he'd been investigating how to sneak in, but had intended to switch it back on after looking around (and probably forgot when he saw Erika). He apologizes abjectly, but wonders what the other two Jewel guys are doing since they couldn't be contacted.
Scene switch to the other two Jewel guys. They're telling Kyouko that it's the latest info they'd gathered while investigating. It can't be helped that Kyouko completely ignored it even though she'd looked at Kimiko's blog. They claim she must have given up on Ren and left Japan, but she deliberately came back to audition for this movie. Why? Because she needs it to draw the attention of her sweetheart. She failed to get Chidori, so she tried again with Momiji, but Erika got that.
Scene switch to Erika while the comments of the two Jewel guys (Fuufuu and Sakkii) continue: If Kimiko can't get it with her own ability, she'll take what she wants even if she crushes her opponent physically. Kimiko's personality is the type that deviates from the proper course.
Erika watches Kimiko play nice girl. She frowns at what she's seeing, then calls the attention of the Jewel guy (Houjou) with her and tells him she has a request.
Back to the other Jewel guys and Kyouko. The guys are heated up, outraged by what Kimiko did to Erika. They tell Kyouko they'd let her hear all the info on Kimiko they had, and they demand that Kyouko fulfill their wish: take Momiji, and if possible, curse Kimiko and kill her. "GO AHEAD!"
Kyouko looks furious. The Jewel guys are taken back, thinking her bloodlust is more intense than that time (when she'd heard they tried to hurt Kanae). Then Kyouko leaves without saying anything. The guys note that this time Kyouko didn't say she can't and didn't reject their demands. They wonder if she now feels she can't curse Kimiko. Kyouko strides off with an extremely pissed-off expression. End of chapter.
Here's hoping Kyouko's fury doesn't backfire on her. I have to wonder what else the Jewel guys told Kyouko that prompted such a strong reaction from her. Oh, yeah. Only 19 pages this month. TT____TT
