我的想法跟cinta_sayang差不多。
我有一个大胆的猜想。我觉得邓丽君灌唱印尼歌曲是主观原因多于客观原因。
1980年到1981年期间，邓丽君刚刚走出1979年假印尼护照阴影，而且比假护照前更红。再者，从假护照事件中可以看出邓丽君在印尼是认识一些有“势力”的朋友的。我想唱印尼歌曲会不会是向这些“朋友”表示感谢；又或许，是对那些当年“看扁”她的人，一种比较高姿态的“反击”呢！
这个猜想是不是有一点过头？

(a) 15F makes sense to me. Instead of playing an active role, Teng may be passively invited by a local Indonesian company to record the Indonesian album. Similar situations occurred when she was first invited by Polydor Japan in 1973 and then by Taurus in 1983. I missed out this in my initial reasoning.
To be assure, does anybody know the company which released Teng's Indonesian album in the 80's? I am not sure but am believed that it was not an associate or a subsidiary of Polydor.
(b) In response to 小七 on 13F, I agreed with iyr00619 that domestic helpers from Philippine and Indonesia were not popular in HK and TW until mid-80's. In addition, Teng's Indonesian songs were debut in Indonesia merely.
