So there are rumors floating around the internet, I hesitated to post this at first but here it is:
It is said that Wentworth Miller will go back to China in March to film a movie for Liu Yunlong’s ‘East Wind, Rain’, he will play the role of American agent.
I will post more info as I find out more, in the mean time remember this is a RUMOR. I hope it is true because then that mean we will see more of him, in different roles but only time will tell.

Regarding to the movie East Wind, Rain, the earliest date that I heard of the news was Jan. 12 from Tieba baidu. One of our members posted a link from sina.com. Here it is: http://ent.sina.com.cn/m/...9-01-12/14492339411.shtml
It reported that the movie is in the process of selecting cast. It is considering Went and Jean Reno, one of them as an American agent. There was also a Japanese actor. Sorry I don't know how to spell his name in English. If you go to the website, you can see their pics.
There was a news clip on v.sohu.com/20090113/n261732157.shtml. The clip is a recording from an entertainment news on CCTV Channel 6. It reported on Jan. 13. At the very end of these news, from 1:23, Liu Yunlong mentioned his new project. Here is my translation of what he said: "right now, we are still discussing, negotiating, with both domestic and international actors including actors from the US. We are getting touching with them, but it hasn't finally settled down yet", from 1:40, he said: "we have some directions, for example, like Miller in Prison Break".
Then there was another new coming after this one. This one is niepb mentioned. link: http://www.news365.com.cn...901/t20090115_2166162.htm it was posted on Jan. 15. It said that Went will come to China again on this March for Liu Yunlong's movie East Wind, Rain. He will play the role of American agent. Jean Reno will not. It also mentioned that on Jan. 14, Me&City had their 09 spring and summer press. Because of PB's shooting, Went couldn't be there, but he had recorded a VCR to say that he will see his Chinese fans very soon again.
My two cents on the one: The first response I had when I first read news was it was a fake news again. They just wanna use Went's name to promote their new movie because Went is really really popular in China, especially after his visit. I had the same response as the one when I heard he was going to be a spokesperson for a Chinese brand. But right now, I am not so sure. I guess we have to wait and see. anyway, I have a very complicated feeling about this, which I am not quite sure I can explain it well in English. So I'm gonna just drop it here. Since PB is going to come to the end, we are all looking forward to his next move. All I am hoping is his next one is worthy and good no matter it is a Chinese movie, or an American movie/tv, or other foreign projects.

I'm excited that Went may be involved in a movie, and so quickly! "East Wind, Rain" sounds like a good book, so I think it would make a good movie.
I realize that no one here likely has an answer to my questions, but I'm wondering:
If this film is being produced in China with a Chinese actor/director, wouldn't it be filmed in the Chinese language, not English? If so, how could Wentworth act in it? Would all his dialogue be subtitled for the film, or something? If so, that could be interesting. And would this film be released internationally? *crosses fingers*
And if the three lead characters are Japanese (the downed pilot and the only Japanese couple on the island), I wonder what roles are available for Went to play? Must buy the book!
Also, I agree with the suspicion that Went's name may be attached to the project more because he's incredibly popular rather than him really considering the role. Considering how quickly filming is set to begin, I'd imagine we should know within a few weeks whether Went is actually cast or not.

Rhada Mitchell and Jonathan Rhys Meyers appeared in 'Children of the Silk Road/Huang Shi' and from memory both had to speak Chinese from time to time.
