Arthur Wayward Chance (born Mar 19th, 1969, Beijing, China) is a host of Travel Channel (China), presenting a travel/adventure television series @Traveler(also called Smart Traveler in China). He also hosted the daily program Arthur Live, a 7-minute show filmed with a firsthand encounter and featured discussions on various travel topics.
A seasoned international traveler, Arthur is perhaps the most recognizable host of Travel Channel (China). He is known for his witty banter and amusing interactions with locals. For the past 7 years, he has hosted over 150 episodes of the program, including more extreme locations like Arctic Norway, Sweden, Kenya, Fiji, Cuba, and Australia. To date, Arthur has feet on 48 countries' land.
In 2009, Arthur appears in The Travels of Arthur which airs on the Travel Channel (China). In this series, Arthur travels to the cities and does his usual bit of visiting interesting locations and interacting with locals.
Before appearing on television, Arthur was a successsful marketer with a 10-year background of Biztravel in China. Then, Arthur spent nearly 100 days in 24 countries just for exploring ways of changing his life. It was that tour, which sparked his decision to pursue travelling as a career.
Arthur is also an active humanist, who loves to share his experiences with the people who has no opportunity to go aboard. To relax, Arthur enjoys playing football, eating out, and going for walks in the China countryside. Arthur is also a vegetarian, though he will occasionally break this for his travel documentaries.
