Secular is a descriptive term used to refer to market activities occurring over a long-term time frame. Secular can also be used in reference to certain stocks that are not effected by short-term trends. Secular trends are not considered seasonal or cyclical, instead remaining consistent over time while secular stocks maintain a certain trajectory regardless of current economic trends.
