after moving to our new neck of echo park, i discovered that elliott smith died a few blocks from our house, i decided to investigate. once upon the house, i felt a strange energy, perhaps the acknowledgement of the violent scene that had at one time transpired. regardless, it was beautiful blue sky sunset march weather in l.a., far from the "angeles" heralded in song...in a related note, the day mr. elliott died, i greeted my co-pitchfork reading hipster friend on our cold madison street with a simple 'did you hear?' to which she responded: "MOST...EMO...DEATH...EVER" which strayed far from the tenor of the somber atmosphere...without any further adieu:
