Interview August 2008Q - Stephen you've waited a long time to be back up on stage with the Boyzone guys so with the arena tour and summer nights tour coming to a close what was your favourite thing about being back on tour again? Stephen - I love the laughs we have on and off stage and just being back together with the guys. Q - and the least favourite thing? Stephen - Nothing that I can think of - I can't complain about anything. Q - Did any arenas bring back any particular memories from when you were out touring before? Stephen - Wembley. It's always a gig I look forward to doing and to have the opportunity to perform there again was surreal. Q - You all seemed to be having a great time up there on stage. What was the funniest thing that happened during a gig? Stephen - Something I expected to happen more that didn't happen until a few days ago. At one of the racecourse gigs when Mikey came up on the lift with the piano and spoke to the crowd he said 'Hello Newmarket'...we were in Newbury... Q - Do you have a favourite part of the show? Stephen - I love the Jackson medley and also the way we do Baby Can I Hold You. Q - Had you anticipated that the reaction from the audience would be as it has been? Stephen - No I can't believe the response we've had - all the singing along to everything, doing the routine for A Different Beat etc. It's great that people still remember all these things. Q - How does it feel to have 10000+ people screaming at you? Stephen - Fantastic - but at the same time I take it with a pinch of salt as you don't know how long it will last. But while it does I absolutely love it. Q - Looking back is there anything you would change or do differently in the show if you were able to do it again? Stephen - I wouldn't be wearing green - or not that tone of green. It's not my favourite colour. Q - Shane's been asking the audience at the gigs whether they will be your future - are there anymore Boyzone plans you can share with us? Stephen - Well we have the single, Love You Anyway, coming out soon followed by the Greatest Hits album. After that the tour DVD will be released towards the end of the year and there will hopefully be another single, possibly another tour next year and maybe an album. It all really depends how things go so watch this space.. Q - What plans do you have to do other work outside Boyzone on your own over the coming months? Stephen - Nothing at present I'm just concentrating on the Boyzone stuff and I'm still working on my book.
