Three years ago at the @vanityfair #WHCD party, @jedidiahjenkins and I made it our mission to introduce @conniebritton to @ambassadorpower. Because Samantha is our world shaking hero, and because clearly Connie should play her in a movie. That night a journalist tweeted, "only at our party would you mistake Connie Britton for Samantha Power." And not two minutes later, "this is not a drill! Connie Britton is now talking to Samantha Power!!" We have never laughed so hard or been more excited that our fanboy hearts, obsessed with Samantha's human commitment, intellect, grace, thoughtful power, and global empathy would launch what is now a years long friendship for all of us. To that journalist, you're welcome #JournalismNerds #HumanRightsHero
