「background」Many people believe a background in STEM- science, technology, engineering, math - is needed to succeed in 21 century. As technological advancements continue to reshape social development, people with STEM training are likely to be in increasing demand as they apply to universities or seek a job. However, some students don't share the same enthusiasm in stem education. Research shows that student interest and participation in these fields are in decline. Given that students are losing interest in stem despite its importance, it is worth considering the value of stem education.
Perspective 1
The purpose of education is to prepare students to get a good job. The highest-paying jobs require knowledge in stem.
Perspective2
It takes much more than just a high-paying job to be fuifilled. The happiest people work at what they love.
Persoective 3
No one can predict what the job of tomorrow will require. A basic, well-rounded education will be best for most people
