Alan Rickman's widow returns home following star's death
Alan Rickman 's widow has returned home following her husband's death, and asked to be left to grieve in private.
Rima Horton, 68, was seen arriving this afternoon at the actor's west London house in a silver people carrier as she carried some of his personal effects, including clothes and books.
The star's wife, who first met Alan in 1965, looked frail, tired and shaken whilst standing on the doorstep of her home in her dark black coat, as she refused to comment.
Neighbours of the star said they are very saddened to hear of his death.
One woman, who lived next door to Rima and Alan said: "When ever I saw him in the street I always thought he looked very well.

"He was such a lovely man, I'm so sorry to hear about his death. I last saw him before Christmas, I had no idea he has cancer."
Another neighbour who lives in the same building as the star said: "He always smiled and said hello when I saw him. It's so sad to hear about his death.
The 24 year old added: "I saw him before Christmas and he looked normal. I had no idea about the cancer."

Rickman started out as a graphic designer and attended Chelsea College of Art and Design and then the Royal College of Art (RCA).
Dr Paul Thompson, Rector at the RCA, said: "The RCA is saddened to hear of the passing of one of our most distinguished former students, Alan Rickman, who studied Graphic Design here between 1968 and 1969.
"During his time at the RCA he featured heavily in the life of the College.
"Alan's career took him on to become a celebrated actor, but last year I know that he valued his time at the RCA, saying, 'Being at the RCA was like walking across a necessary bridge to the rest of my working life.'"
He worked as a designer on the Notting Hill Herald before opening a graphic design studio called Gaphiti.
After three years he turned his attention to acting and wrote to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) asking them to give him an audition.
He was awarded a place and attended the school from 1972-74, winning several prizes while he was there.
Ed Kemp, Director of RADA said: "We are deeply saddened to hear of the death of Alan Rickman, who died this morning after a short battle with cancer.
"A RADA graduate and later Vice Chairman of the RADA Council, Alan's commitment to the Academy and our students truly knew no bounds and without him RADA would be much the poorer today.
"He was generous with his time, his insight, his money, his experience, not only to RADA students but to young actors and theatre makers across the spectrum.
"He will be much missed. Our thoughts are with his family at this time."
He studied acting at the Royal Shakespeare Company and during the later part of his career moved utilised his distinctive voice in films such as The Boy in the Bubble and Sonnet Number 12.
At school he excelled at calligraphy and watercolour painting at Derwentwater Junior School, where he won a scholarship to Latymer Upper School in London, where he took up an interest in drama.
