ADELE ENDS 2015 WITH TOP ALBUM SALES HONOURS
Adele’s “25” (XLR/Beggars Group) spends its sixth straight week at the top of the Billboard Canadian Albums chart. The album sells another 51,000 units, the first week that the album failed to sell at least 100,000 copies. It has now sold 860,000 copies in its six weeks of release, making it the highest selling album at the end of a calendar year since her last album, “21,” sold 936,000 units in 2012. “25” is already the 26th best-selling album in the Canada SoundScan era (post-1995)
The single, “Hello,” remains at No. 1 on the Digital Songs chart, with 35,000 downloads sold, giving it Greatest Gainer/Digital honours on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 this week, where it holds at No. 2.
"Hello" is #1 on sales & airplay but Bieber has stronger streaming. The sales for "Hello" are around 435,000.
