Adele No. 1 on Billboard Artist 100
Adele leads again, fueled by '25' & "Hello,"
Sparked by the continued success of album 25 and its lead single "Hello," Adele is again the top musical act in the U.S., holding at No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart (dated Jan. 9).

The Artist 100 measures artist activity across Billboard's most influential charts, including the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, Top Album Sales and the Social 50. The Artist 100 blends data measuring album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.

Adele leads the Artist 100 for a seventh total (and fifth consecutive) week. As previously reported, 25 tallies a fifth week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and Top Album Sales, earning 1.19 million equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending Dec. 24 (up 45 percent), according to Nielsen Music; of that total, 1.16 million were pure album sales (up 47 percent). The set is the first to have sold at least 1 million in three separate weeks (after becoming the first to do so in two different frames). Plus, "Hello" tops the Hot 100 for a ninth week.
In line with the previous week, album sales continue to mark Adele's greatest metric on the Artist 100 (73 percent). Digital song sales follow at 14 percent.
