This costume was one of a series worn by Chris Martin, the singer with the British band Coldplay, during the period of their 2008 album Viva La Vida and 2008-10 world tours.

The album's theme was of revolution with the cover art featuring the painting La Liberté Guidant le Peuple (Liberty Leading the People) by Eugéne Delacroix.

To resonate with this idea, the band worked in association with Sara Jowett and Stella McCartney to design a 'uniform' that they would wear for the entirety of the album's promotional and touring period.

The look was inspired by the Delacroix painting, representing the sans-culottes of the 1830 French Revolution while using bits of recycled fabric to compose a colourful military style, akin to the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's album cover costumes.

The Viva la Vida tour started in London with a free concert at Brixton Academy on June 16, 2008, and took in 74 cities across North America, Asia, Europe and Australasia, ending in Monterrey, South America on March 11, 2010, having sold more than 1.5 million tickets.

With such a long touring period, Chris Martin had several of these uniform costumes made; this particular one was worn at Coldplay's Wembley Stadium gig on September 18, 2009.

帖子昨天就收藏了，今天加精了，就来说说。coldplay的每张专辑从词曲创作、封面设计、到演唱服装、再到现场观众发光的手环、MV的别具匠心·······每一处都仔细考量、精心制作、无一不彰显团队的高水准，这也是我爱上cp的缘由。能把我从il divo美声男伶、西城愚忠粉拽过来的乐团，也只有coldplay了······一些歌不过就是男男女女关于爱情的事儿，被cp一写、一唱，就被弄成了要ri天的气势磅礴（以前说话是咆哮的小清新，爱上cp变成糙老爷们儿了，见谅），每每听他们的歌，人是坐在凳子上，灵魂却早已摇头晃脑游离浩瀚的宇宙，去捕捉那万点繁星·······

还是穿上帅，这样挂着看起来没有气势

進博物館了，然後看那個舊舊的補丁感覺是從幾百年前古墓挖掘出來的一樣
