Here's something simple that got it working for me (by accident no less).
I followed all the guides including the above, but none of it worked. So after giving up, I decided to install Equalizer APO to see if it would make for a decent replacement.
Well, Equalizer APO ended up working just fine. But while I had Viper still installed I thought hey, may as well fire it up for one last time before getting rid of it. And low and behold, it suddenly worked! Installing Equalizer APO must have somehow "primed" the system so that it could also be modified by Viper. Just in case anyone is thinking about giving up, give this a try! Worth a shot, and if it still doesn't work, you'll have a decent working EQ anyway. Good luck!

所以我用Vista兼容模式和管理员运行的安装程序，安装到realtek默认声卡上面，重启电脑。
然后下载equalizer APO，以管理员模式安装，安装到最后，同样安到默认声卡realtek，再次重启计算机，然后一切都ok了，希望这个办法能帮到你们。

我找到的271是win8的，可以吗

这个方法其实是v4w嫁接在Equalizer APO上，v4w程序太老不能
正确的
嫁接在声卡驱动上面。用这种方法记得把Equalizer APO里的各项设置关闭，要不然会有影响。
我以前一直是把v4w嫁接在dolby上的，安装好dolby v4，不使用dolby声效。
希望官方能出个v4w的新版本，这样安装非常的麻烦。
PS：win10用这种方法安装成功

经过测试，win8.1在安装Equalizer APO后，直接安装viper4就成功了

楼主，那个怎样测试有没有用?我win7系统直接安装安装成功了，然后试了试3D环绕，确实有用，这样还需要安装Equalizer APO这个软件吗？
