Adele's "Hello" crowns the Billboard Hot 100 (dated Dec. 12) for a fifth week, following the record-breaking sales for parent album 25. Meanwhile, Justin Bieber and Meghan Trainor make moves following performances on the American Music Awards (AMAs) (Nov. 22).
"Hello" is the first single from Adele's third studio album, 25, released on XL/Columbia Records, which makes a historic start. As previously reported, the set launches atop the Billboard 200 with a record 3.48 million equivalent album units in the week ending Nov. 26, according to Nielsen Music. Of that figure, 3.38 million are pure album sales, marking the largest sales week for an album since Nielsen began tracking point-of-sale music purchases in 1991.
