Hello everyone!
I hope you are all well. Wow! Less than a month till Christmas and before we know it, conversation will be full of new years resolutions that we know we wont keep to.
I went for a long walk yesterday through the woods and it was really enjoyable to take in the nature and observe the changes that time and its seasons bring with it. It’s a welcome reminder that whatever is going on in our tiny little lives, the planet is spinning all the while and the years move on. Below are some pictures I took while surrounded by fallen leaves on icy ground.
My plans and thoughts on how I want my music to progress have gone through quite an evolution this year. Ideas are now slowly being realised and I’m really enjoying the process of just meeting people, trying things out, recording and experimenting with my new concept project ‘Child of Mind’ and seeing it all take shape.
As I state on my website, "It is a concept project and a way in which to channel and connect music with a number of different types of creative work. A place for music and activism, Child of Mind is a project that will evolve and hopefully bring people together for things more important and bigger than the ‘I'. "
This vision I had for a while but what that would actually mean in the sense of how it would be realised and what steps I would take to make this happen, that was not quite clear. You could say I had a bag full of ideas. But with each step I take, another part of the pathway becomes visible and I’m enjoying just following it and seeing what comes next.
I have now posted on my website the first blog of hopefully many, that comes under the ‘activism’ side of Child of Mind. For those of you who haven’t yet read it, the post can be found here:http://www.childofmindhq.com/blog/
I’ve long been interested in the subjects of Philosophy, Politics and Psychology and in September of this year I began a BA in Combined Social Sciences which was a big but exciting step for me. Along side this, I’m a big fan of documentary filmmaking as a way of presenting these themes and I’m looking at getting in to this next year as another side to Child of Mind and running parallel to my music. As I’ve said before, Child of Mind is a concept project that will wear many faces.
