The X Factor 2015 wild card has been confirmed and it's MONICA MICHAEL!
X Factor boss Simon Cowell had said that there is the potential for some of the weekend's axed contestants to be given a second chance earlier this week.
“Would I like to bring back the Wild Card this series? I would do it in a heartbeat,” Simon said. “But it’s not my decision. Well, it’s not just my decision."
He explained: "I have influence over what we do but it’s more complicated than you may think. We have to run ideas past a lot of people!”
Tonight (Thursday) saw Simon confirm news of the wild card, saying: "There will always be a wild card, we always like that opportunity and it's crazy not to bring one person back."
There were some controversial exits at the weekend with Jennifer Phillips, Ebru Ellis, New Kings Order, Simon Lynch and Josh Daniel among the more surprising acts to leave the competition.
But it's MONICA MICHAEL who has been given the wild card spot by the judges.
"Monica's come back twice," Simon said. "I hope some people who were close will come back next year.
"I thought [Monica] was going to get a chair on Sunday. The competition wouldn't be the same without her."
Nick Grimshaw gushed: "I love Monica. I thought it was very courageous - it took balls tonight to do a song which she's written.
"I thought it was very moving and really emotional. So I'd love to see Monica come back. I think she's got something."
In a statement, Rita said: "I couldn't sleep Sunday night thinking about Monica and if I could convince the other judges of giving her a wildcard.
"It's so great that Simon, Cheryl and Grimmy agreed. What a rollercoaster for Monica but sooo glad to have her back. So exciting."
Monica added: "I’m so hyped to be back as the wildcard. Thank you to all the Judges for believing in me and for the public for supporting me. See you on Saturday night!”
Monica joins Louisa Johnson, Lauren Murray and Kiera Weathers in Rita Ora's girls category.

The decision to bring back Monica will no doubt prove popular: She topped our poll this week of acts who you lot wanted to come back.
The X Factor live shows begin this Saturday and Sunday night on ITV at 8PM with a This Is Me theme.
