18.08.2004Hleb scores for BelarussiaThe Belarussian national team booked a surprising 2-1 victory against hosts Turkey on Wednesday evening. The team that finished third in the 2002 FIFA World Cup took the lead on 14 minutes when Hakan Sükür scored. However, after 67 minutes VfB midfielder Alexander Hleb found the back of the net and the match tipped in Belarussia's favour. Denis Kovba shocked Turkey with his goal in the final minute and set up the surprising win.
