Celine To Receive the French Legion of Honor MedalMay 18 , 2008On May 22, three years after being made a 'Chevalier dans l'ordre de la Légion d'honneur' (Knight of the French National Order of the Legion of Honor), Celine will receive her medal from French President Nicolas Sarkozy during an official ceremony held at the 'Palais de l'Elysée' in Paris, France. This world-renowned Order is the highest decoration in France honouring the merit of notable people for acts rendered to the nation of France and is divided into various ranks. Celine received this honourable title in 2005, however an official ceremony could not be held until now due to Celine's engagement in Las Vegas. This is Celine's second prestigious award of this kind as she was awarded France's 'Chevalier des Arts et Lettres' medal in the 1990's. Congratulations Celine!
