We all know that life is full of ups and downs. But the problem is : how to pull yourself up in unexpectedly low times? Taiwanese singer Elva Hsiao,29,has the answer. "If you can handle them positively, you can change the difficult times and make them turning points in you life,"she says. Hsiao made a comeback on April 22. She announced her new partnership with EMI music. Her new album is due to come out in June. Elva has been known for her energetic dance music and trendy hip-hop looks. However her career has had more hard times compared with that of Jolin Tsai or Stephanie Sun. Hsiao's nightmare bagan in 2004 at the peak of her career.She made a decision to take a year-long break to recharge. But when she came back, she found she was outshined by other singers. Elva then joined Warner Music, hoping to make a breakthrough. But her new album was delayed because of the company's financial problems."I had no other choice but to wait. It was like waiting for the dawn at night." But Hsiao didn't idle around. She went to the US to improve her dancing skills.When her album finally came out in late 2006, Hsiao kwen it was time to make a full comeback. But she injured her left foot when shooting music video.Elva had to cancel all her promotional activities.It bacame her most helpless period. "Even my mom suggested that I should quit and take on an easier job,"she said,"But I wanted to carry on." She recommends , How Did I Get Here?
