题目
Some people think the technology makes life complex, so we should make the life simpler without using the technology. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Nowadays, with the widespread use of the advanced technology, there have been various changes in people’s life. Some people believe that individuals’ life is increasingly complicated due to this trend, and suggest that we abandon the technology and return to the traditional and simple lifestyles. However, I disagree with this viewpoint.
It has to acknowledge that some products created by the cutting-edge technology can be extremely complex to use because they are designed for skilled and qualified workers. Nevertheless, it is very easy for ordinary people to learn how to handle most electrical products used in our daily lives, such as mobile phones, computers and washing machines. Moreover, currently most electrical products have been more user-friendly than the past, which can help the elderly to use them more easily.
On the other hand, some groups of people, especially those who live inpoverty, may find difficult using high-tech products. These people’s difficulties are mainly caused by the lack of exposure to these things. If some technological commodities, like cars, were available to the needy people, it would greatly improve their standards of living. They would not need to wait for buses in the bus stops and to worry about the overcrowding in public vehicles.Thus, it can be seen that these products can make our life much more convenient.Today it is hard to imagine how to contact with others living in the remote areas without distance communication tools.
In conclusion, many technologies in fact simplify our life rather than complicate it and contribute to our better life quality. Therefore, I believe that the technology ultimately does more good than harm to society.
