When picking your army its important to consider some kind of balance between support, melee, tank and cavalry heroes. Also consider the strength and weakness of their squad.
-Cavalry, Infantry and Arbalists are good balanced squads. Mages, Musketeers and pikeman are more focussed on offence so need to be protected or healed frequently if under attack. Archers and M.archers are weaker.
- Focus more on Offence. Its important to win battles quickly, not just endure. Defensive heroes tend to be lest effective however make sure your support troops are protected by either cavalry or strong melee'ers (Gawain/Cannon/Joan/El Cid are good for this)
-DO NOT flood your rally with too many 3* heroes as they lack health, making them vulnerable to the mounted archers.

Don't worry too much about farming equipment as its very luck based and you could end up wasting a ton of time and get nothing from it.
-The best 4* equipment to look for is the purified armour, the dragonscale boots, Celestial axe and the cresent bow. Celestial axe is great to give extra dodge to melee units and the cresent bow is good to boost luck (and therefore damage) of the support units.
-Give your best equipment to help sustain your best heroes. Attack boosts are good to give to heroes with a good damaging AOE to boost its effects... 3* archers are particularly important to do this for.
-This is the same for 5* equipment. Look out for the demons ring which gives a huge 400+ def bonus. This is essential for Leonidas to give him survivability to go with his huge attack damage!
不要刷4星装，浪费时间不讨好。
最好的4星装是净化甲，龙靴，战神斧（高闪避），月神弓（高伤害）
装备给最好的英雄。攻击装最好给aoe英雄，比如3星弓。
5星装一样。能出5星恶魔戒指给斯巴达最好了，高防（400+防御力）高伤害。
这是啥戒指啊。。
