Bound to happen! A-list exes Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal were packed together in the same star-studded Golden Globes afterparty on Sunday, Jan. 11, and Us Weekly has the exclusive details on what went down inside Hollywood hotspot Chateau Marmont.
One observer tells Us that Globe nominee Gyllenhaal, 34, hit the center of the dance floor shortly after midnight, where he was flanked by beautiful women galore. British singer Rita Ora was one of his many admirers, and danced briefly with the hunky actor to Roy Orbison's "Pretty Woman," when their moment was interrupted by none other than Trophy Wife hottie Malin Akerman.
A flirty Akerman stole Gyllenhaal away while his big sister Maggie Gyllenhaal and The Affair star Ruth Wilson were animatedly chatting nearby.

Moments after 2:00 a.m., Gyllenhaal's superstar ex-girlfriend Swift — clad in a bright marigold Jenny Packham gown — arrived at the bash.
A second eyewitness tells Us that upon spotting each other, they were actually completely cordial. “Taylor and her friends arrived at the Chateau Marmont just before 2 a.m. and Jake was there in the lobby. He was leaving as she was coming in. Taylor ran up and gave him a big hug and they caught up,” the eyewitness tells Us. “They were smiling and looked like any old friends catching up.”
A third eyewitness confirms the exes encounter was indeed friendly. “Taylor said ‘Hi,’ and he said ‘Hello’ back and smiled,” the insider tells Us.

You again! Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal proved there's no bad blood between them when they reunited at the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, Jan. 11.
The two stars, who dated from mid-2007 to late 2009, caught up at The Beverly Hilton Hotel amongst other big-name actors. An insider tells Us Weekly exclusively that Witherspoon, 38, and Gyllenhaal, 34, had a moment together during one of the show's commercial breaks.
"Reese paused and hugged Jake Gyllenhaal," the eyewitness tells Us. "They looked happy to see each other!"

The former lovers were both nominated for awards at the 2015 Golden Globes. Witherspoon was up for Best Actress in a Drama for her critically acclaimed role in the adaptation of Cheryl Strayed's Wild, but lost to Julianne Moore, who won the trophy for Still Alice.
Gyllenhaal was nominated for Best Actor in a Drama for Nightcrawler, falling to winner Eddie Redmayne, who was honored for The Theory of Everything.
Despite their losses, the friendly exes both looked stunning and happy at the star-studded event. Gyllenhaal looked sharp in a black tuxedo with a black bow tie, and attended on the arm of his sister Maggie Gyllenhaal, who won Best Actress in a Mini-Series or Film Made for Television for her role in The Honorable Woman.
With her inspiration Strayed by her side, Witherspoon went glam in a metallic beaded strapless Calvin Klein Collection dress. She accessorized the custom number with more than $1 million in Tiffany & Co. jewelry.
