Humorous play with deep spiritual lessons, January 5,2015
By Jamie
This was a hilarious riot, but filled with lessons that drilled down thesuperficial aspects of our thinking through the cute characters, a twin brotherand sister. I enjoyed the story immensely, and found the theater script formata breeze to read through. It has some challenging themes that I would say manywould gloss over. I would challenge you to give it a shot though. It's a greatwork of spiritual fiction that both teaches and entertains.
The worst work of a spiritual egomaniac; recommended only for die-hardfans of the author, January 3, 2015

I'm guessing that all or most of the rave reviews here are from people whoare already avid Jed fans.
I used to be an avid Jed fan, until I realized (as many others have realized)that Jed is an egomaniac.
I still enjoy some of his work, but this play seems to me to be his worst. Ifound it boring and pontificatory, for the most part. Particularly off-puttingwas his smugness—"look how clever I am," he seems to say, with almostevery word. And the narratives are less interesting than those in his firstcouple of books, in my opinion.
Because most or all of the early reviewers of this play are likely to alreadybe Jed fans, I suspect that the reviews are positively skewed. If you'd like toread a less skewed sample of reviews of his work, I suggest looking at thereviews of his first book.
If you look at the one-star reviews of his first book (18 of the 138reviews are one-star, as of now), you'll see that I'm far from alone, inperceiving Jed as an egomaniac.
If you'd like some help questioning your conscious beliefs, via entertainingnarratives, you might enjoy Jed's work (though I think his first book is muchbetter than this play).
However, if you agree with me that true enlightenment requires true humility, then you might want to look elsewhere.
