Benedict Cumberbatch and fiancée Sophie Hunter are expecting a baby, the actor's spokesman has confirmed.
The spokesman for the Sherlock star said: "I am delighted to confirm that Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter are expecting their first child. They are both over the moon."
It comes just months after Cumberbatch and Hunter announced their engagement in a small notice in The Times newspaper in November.

A rep for the actor confirmed that he and Hunter are expecting their first child, adding, "They are both over the moon."
Cumberbatch and Hunter, an actress and theater director, announced their engagement in Britain's The Times in November, and the two have made multiple red-carpet appearances together since then, including at The Imitation Game premiere in New York and this past weekend's Palm Springs Film Festival.

The actor also told People that, like his fans, his "mother is also waiting for Cumberbabies."
The wait will soon be over.
Cumberbatch is a frontrunner for a best actor Oscar nomination for his role as Alan Turing in The Imitation Game. He has already been nominated for a Golden Globe, SAG Award and Critics Choice Award for the role.
