Sunday night's VMA Awards on MTV, live from the Triple A, is starting to sound like a sideshow. Maybe the parties hosted by celebs are really what it's all about. There'll be close to 60 of those in and around Miami Beach. The madness starts Friday, with songbird Mariah Carey hosting the In Touch gossip magazine get-together on a yacht. At the same time, Entourage's Jeremy Piven, of all people, throws a karaoke party at Sushi Samba in SoBe. On Sunday, Mariah Carey, Kanye West and the Killers play hosts to an after-party at Mansion for Island Def Jam, sponsored by Star magazine. Jay-Z and Chris Jones, the Miami-based son of Foreigner's Mick Jones will also be on hand. (The Palm Beach Post - New York Daily News)
