"Back around 2004, I was living in Calgary and had just got a kitten. I made an appointment to get his shots at a little local vet's office. This was in July, during the Calgary Stampede, so the city was even more cowboy redneck than normal.【大概是2004年的时候，我住在卡尔加里，养了一只猫咪。我约了宠物店给我家小猫照片。那时正是七月，市里到处都是牛仔】

The dog - who's named Atticus, btw - starts sniffing my kitten. The kitten's never seen a dog before and is sniffing back cautiously. I'm a little nervous, but he says "Don't worry; he's pretty good with cats." We made a bit more small talk, and then whatever I was waiting for finished and I got up and left.【那只名叫阿提克斯的狗狗开始对着我家小猫咪嗅嗅探探。我家小猫之前从没见过狗，所以也小心地闻了回去。我有点紧张，但他说，“别担心，它对猫咪很友好的。”我们小聊了一会儿，然后我等的结果之类完成了，我只得起身离开。】

It wasn't until a year or so later that I realized the movie he was working on at the time was Brokeback Mountain and he was probably a bit nervous about telling some random dude in Calgary that he was making a gay cowboy movie.【一年多后，我才意识到他当时在拍的电影正是《断背山》，而他可能不太愿意告诉某个不认得的卡尔加里人他正在拍一部同性恋牛仔电影】
