Lauren Platt may be unable to sing on Saturday’s X Factor after being laid low by flu.The 17-year-old, favourite to be eliminated this weekend with bookies William Hill, could be forced to pull out of the live show after being sent home from filming this week to recover from the bug.
According to The Sun, X Factor schedules have been thrown into chaos this week by her illness.
And even though a determined Lauren struggled on with rehearsals yesterday to avoid falling too far behind in practicing her routine, producers are still concerned she may not be well enough to perform.
An anonymous source is quoted as saying: "At the moment she is determined to sing tomorrow regardless and no one wants to tell her otherwise.
“But the truth is that it is very much up in the air. If she isn't well, she won't be on that stage."
Lauren, Cheryl's last act in the ITV singing competition, is priced at 5/4 to be booted off the show this weekend.
Stereo Kicks are the second favourites to go at 7/2, while former favourite to win Andrea Faustini is given odds of 13/2 to leave.
