我总是觉得这首歌是他最后的幻想，也是他在生命的终点最后的希望。整首歌表面上看是那么唯美，温馨的冬日场景，不带一丝杂质。可是它的确是那样悲伤和绝望。整首歌都是以第三人称描述的，然而中间却出现了两句“Gentle rain beatin' on my face ”和“my world is spinnin' and spinnin' and spinnin' ”，仿佛是Friddie的一场完美的梦，而他竭尽全力想要走进这个梦，想找回从前。他只是想要活下去。

这首A Winter's Tale，让我想起约翰列侬的imagine，都是有着优美旋律的歌曲，也都是传世之作。这样的幻想，我想也是每个理想主义者甚至普通人都会有的·······

翻译得非常好，这首歌写得非常有画面感。日内瓦湖就是这个样子，在蒙特勒走在湖边的感觉和歌词完全一样。可见Freddie最后的日子对生活的渴望，对蒙特勒的不舍。
