I WILL NOT ANSWER YOU Q*S. Let me start by saying I normally dont write reviews unless I really like something.
Noise - I have the side panel open on my case right now since Im leak testing my cpu loop. I have 6 case fans all at the lowest setting. My 290x had coil whine that I could hear with the case closed. This card does not have any coil whine while gaming or benchmarking with the side panel open. Ive tried the highest settings in 3dmark11, FireStrike, and Valley... BF4. Fan noise is not heard unless it is over 65%, 70% is slightly higher noise than my case fans in an open side panel. Pro
Cooling - I have custom fan curve to match degree to fan ratio 1:1. My card at stock will core clock to 1280mhz and the temp will reach up to 68c. If I +100 OC, the temp will reach 71c at around 1390mhz. Note, side panel open. If I close the case up, I bet I might get better cooling since my side panel fan.
Clocks - Like I said, it clocks higher than it is referenced. If I only move the Power% slider to 106% and leave everything the same (beside fan curve) in BF4 the card will boost to 1304mhz. That is quite impressive. I can bench at nearly 1500mhz but gaming is at 1400mhz with a tick or two up or down from there meaning it will fluctuate about 20mhz total, probably when I die and waiting to spawn.
All in all, I love this card. It runs only a bit hotter than my water cooled 290x, no coil whine, and sips power compared. Now my cpu runs much cooler since I have taken the 290x off the loop and the 970 runs cool enough that I dont need to put it under water.
If you want the best GTX 970, I have done lots of research and from what I gather the Gigabyte G1 and Zotac AMP! have the highest chances of extreme OC... but Im gaming at 1400mhz under 71c and paid 50 bucks less.... Actually got mine for 315 since I had a coupon, shipped.... no brainer.
