so this representative from emi, which owns virgin records, comes into my cd store. im talking with him raving about 30stm. i find out hes a big fan too. i ask him to please give me anything to put up in the store, to draw attention to 30. he says they dont have much, but hell try to bring some stuff next time he comes. on his way out he stops, and reaches into his bag and pulls out an advance copy of a beautiful lie. i tell him thanks a million times, and he leaves.at the end of the night, an hour before we close, i pop in the cd (we have a cd with stuff the store wants us to play, but for 30, that shit goes out the window). i just know that if people hear their music, they will love it. 2 songs into the album, a 45 year old man comes over to me, and asks, who the band is. i tell him all about them. hes like " i love the way they sound" before i get a chance to, he asks me if he can reserve a copy. im like hell yes you can. i know its only 1 cd (so far), but thats 1 more fan to add to the list. i look foward to work now just to spread the word.
