The X Factor goes back to the old days as Brian Friedman is tipped to rejoin the show

As if bringing back Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole wasn’t enough, another familiar face is reportedly returning to The X Factor.
This time it’s choreographer Brian Friedman who is said to be making his way back to the show, in its latest bid to outdo Strictly Come Dancing in the ratings.
Friedman, who had a brief role on the judging panel in 2007 before becoming the series’ creative director, was the brains behind some of X Factor’s most memorable performances of all time before quitting for the US version in 2011.
And according to reports Simon is hoping he’ll be able to liven things up on stage once the show goes live next month.
‘Simon wants Brian to bring back some madness,’ a source told the Mirror.
‘They’ve worked together for a long time now and Simon loves that Brian gets that the show works best when it’s flamboyant, camp and full of drama.
‘He Simon wants performances and stylings that everyone will be talking about at work on Monday.
‘He’s briefed him to work with the contestants to create some iconic moments for this year’s live shows.”
