多伦多结束了，来说说老吉和《夜行者》在这个奖季的机会吧

呼声最高的几部基本都是人物传记、古装戏和爱情片（学院派啥时能改下口味啊？）
Feinberg points out that the film covers many of the same topics Academy Award-winning films often do, among which are biopic, period piece and love story.

影评人对于Nightcrawler的奥斯卡前景并不十分看好，更多的是把它当作黑马。原因在于：
1. 这类风格派电影不得奥爷欢心（从各种对于奥斯卡的预测可以看出，风头劲的基本上都是传记片）
2. 发行商On the Road对冲奥没啥经验，也未必有兴趣（他们首要做的是怎样把电影节上的好评如潮转化为票房动力）
3. 今年男主的竞争异常激烈，反而女主和女配比较弱（所以有影评人建议推罗素）

Finally, the dark horse: Jake Gyllenhaal. I've already written about how deftly Gyllenhaal gets under the skin of his creepy, ambitious character in Dan Gilroy's "Nightcrawler." It's a performance worth pulling for in the race because it's so outside the generally agreed-upon standard for "prestige" or "awards" players. Sometimes those can land just right. Terrence Howard in "Hustle & Flow," for instance. This is an exercise in control and building atmosphere with inflection and behavior, the kind of thing, surely, Gyllenhaal's fellow actors will appreciate. And it's really just another in a long line of stand-out portrayals from the 33-year-old actor. It's tight and finding room to maneuver is next to impossible, but the guy deserves to be in the conversation.
最后，黑马：杰克.吉伦哈尔。我曾在之前的影评中提及过吉伦哈尔如何巧妙地化身为疯狂、野心勃勃的丹.罗格伊尔的《夜行者》男主。男主之争应该算他一份，因为他的表演和学院派完全不一样。那类教科书式的表演有时只是不过不失。比如《川流熙攘》里的特伦斯.哈沃德。而杰克的表演却是通过变化和行为去控制和建立起某种氛围，当然，吉伦哈尔之后的演员会对此感激不尽。而这只是这位33岁的演员长长的杰出表演列表中的一个而已。男主之争太激烈可能没啥机会了，但这家伙值得被考虑。

Jake Gyllenhaal Join the much too crowded Best Actor Race,...Gyllenhaal does a fantastic job channeling Louis' outrageous and overwrought personality, whether he’s offering up lame sermons on entrepreneurship or tying his greasy long hair into a knot. ...Better for Gyllenhaal if his performance didn't recall other performances and better if the film is a contender for Best Picture but a good performance is a good performance and it’s worth noting.
杰克.吉伦哈尔在异常激烈的男主之争中插上一脚...吉伦哈尔塑造的路易斯太出彩了——粗鲁而紧张兮兮，不管是在做差劲的创业说教，还是试图扎起他油腻腻的长发...如果本片能进入十佳、如果他的表演没让人想到其他类似表演或许会更有机会。但好的表演就是好表演，值得关注。

感觉jake对奥斯卡不太上心的样子...唉随他便了 自己爽就好 （我心中每一届的奥斯卡都是他...）

今年老吉必须得提名！不然不信服！

的确，奥哥不甚喜欢这里电影，但素我心中我吉演的每部都素能得奥斯卡，我就素脑残粉

总之觉得吉帅的电影似乎不大符合学院口味T_T 而且他也没有刻意迎合…不过还是希望能捞个提名！祈祷啊

提名和获奖感觉都是要靠公关的不
