Simon在周三的XF新发会上表示，他对于SCD（Strictly Come Dancing）的制作单位把节目安排在9月7日晚间8点播放略微不爽，这个时段正好是XF第11季第二集的播放时间。现年54岁的Simon说：“（这种事）还是发生了，我觉得他们这么做只能是让观众感到讨厌，他们还声称这不是为了比拼收视率，其实就是。这也是正是他们会这么安排的原因。”

Finally, Simon discussed showing both the good and bad auditions on the talent show, saying: *I think if you just showed the good auditions, it would be boring.
*I think this show is at its best when you see the good, the bad and the ugly and we*d be lying if we said everyone who showed up was great - it would be a very different show.
*I mean the producers select who goes on the show and I think we*ve struck a good balance.*
