Do you play any musical instrument or used to play at a younger age?No, neither I've played nor I've ever got involved in music.2. Did you ever have a band?No, never.3. Which is your favourite band?Rolling Stones is my favourite one.4. How do you feel for your son's life so far?Really cool, I'm fascinated.5. How did you react when Ville told you he was going to be a professional singer?I didn't react at all, I had no problem with it. I just told him OK if that's what you wanna do.6. What kind of instrument was Ville's first ever? What else followed and in what order?His 1st was the flute when he was 6 years old. Bass, drums and guitar followed.7. What's your wife's opinion about HIM? Does she like her son's music? Do YOU like it?Both of us are fond of HIM's music! Both of us love it equally.8. What was your 1st job ever and at what age?I was 14 and I worked at a construction, I had the dirtiest and the hardest tasks and the salary was too low.9. Do you like travelling? Which is your favourite country? Have you ever been to Greece?Yeah, I love travelling. Especially when our children were younger we used to travel more often. On 1992 we've been for the 1st time in Thailand, our whole family. Later on we went again, plenty more times, because it's a cheap and beautiful country. We also went there with Jesse who until recently had Thai boxing matches there. My favourite country is the USA. I'd so much like to go to visit a friend of mine who lives in California and because I love cars. My wife has visited Greece 3 times already, her last one was in Milina, close to city of Volos. I haven't come yet but I'd like it.10. Besides Ville you have another son, Jesse. How old is he and what are his interests? Does he appreciate his older brother's band? Does he admire Ville?Jesse is 21 and currently works at a shop selling mobile phones. I have no idea what he thinks about his brother but I know he really likes HIM's music.11. Are you in love?YES! I love my wife so much. We've been together for the last 30 years and we're still in love.

Is it true that when Ville was younger you rented an apartment for him because he was allergic to your dog?At that period we had far too many animals at home, such as turtles, parrots and a bull mastiff (a dog species), that's the dog Ville had on the 1st videoclip of Wicked game. Ville left from home since he couldn't stand that situation anymore, he was allergic to all of them. So he rented an apartment to live on his own. We helped him by paying his rent, he was too busy with the band so he couldn't work.13. What pisses you off most in people's attitude?I don't like those who stab you in the back, they piss me off incredibly much. Thieves and dishonest people too! I also dislike gypsies. They are no good people and they rob my store every 3 months approximately. (laughs)14. What's the weirdest thing ever happened to you?When I was 6 years old I went fishing with my best friend to our area's aqueduct. Without any reason at all, he pushed me until I fell into the water and then he left. It was 3-4 metres deep and if it weren't for some wooden parts on it to catch and climb out of it, still I would probably be there. (laughs)15. For how many years have you been running this sex-shop? Do you believe it affected positively or negatively your son's music career?I have it since 1990. I believe it has a positive impact on his career if you take into account HIM's kind of music (Love Metal)16. What's your favourite movie?The "Taxi driver".17. Do you often go to the movies? Which is your favourite actor/actress?Yes I go as often as I can. Harvey Keitel is my favourite actor.18. From the moment Ville became famous what has changed in your life?Nothing's changed. I work everyday the way I used to do and I keep an eye on everything Ville does.19. When HIM have a concert do you attend it? Which is your 1st ever HIM gig?Whenever HIM have a concert in Helsinki, me and my wife are there. We never miss any of their gigs here. The 1st time I saw them live they were in a summer festival outside Helsinki and if I remember right it was 1996.20. Which is your favourite HIM song?Gone with the sin. I also love their video. It's shot at some stunning, full of green fields in England.21. Tell us an advice you often give to Ville.I don't advise him on anything related to music. About his life, I just tell him whatever he gets involved with to do it right. (I also tell him) to save his money too.22. What's your opinion about Ville's tattoos and especially the one on his left hand? What did you tell him afterwards?The truth is I don't like it that much. I didn't tell him anything since he was already an adult when he did it. In general, I don't like tattoos much.
