印度政府20日宣布，根据本财年预算计划，将乘客火车票价在原有价格基础上，向上调整14.2%，货运价格上调6.5%，以改善目前铁路系统亏损过大的状况。这是印度近年来火车票涨价幅度最大的一次。印度铁路部说，涨价措施将从6月25日起生效。涨价后，以首都新德里开往孟买的快速列车为例，二等空调卧铺的价格 将从2495卢比(约合人民币258元)涨到2849卢比(约合人民币295元)，三等空调卧铺价格从1815卢比(约合人民币188元)上涨到2072 卢比(约合人民币214元)。

i am totally against the hike in railway fares, why is it so necessary to collect money from the people ? till now everything went smooth , poor people are able to travel in long distance at manageable price. if railway ministers hike in AC charges then that fine as it shows the luxury not needs. for the general sleeper class fare shouldn't increase. By the way, India has huge amount of black money so why don't they able to crack on those issues which ll benefit India so much that development of nation can be achieve within few years.
我坚决反对火车票涨价。有必要从人们身上搜刮钱财吗？到目前为止，一切都相当顺利，穷人买得起火车票，有能力进行长途旅行。空调车票的价格上涨倒是可以，毕竟老百姓不需要奢侈旅行，但是普通卧铺票价不能涨。顺便说下，印度的黑钱很多，为什么就不拿出来解决问题，好让国家的发展能够在数年内实现。

Poor people only got a raise of 4.2 % .. the higher class got over 10% i am pretty sure poor people do not travel in AC 1st class. is they do then they can take this hike.. railway needs to be profitable entity no more tax payer money wastage

The fare hike is justified ,remmember for 10 long years there was no hike,whereas the cost of running the Rlys has gone up exponently.The UPA 1-2 has mismanaged the Rlys.But 14.6% hike is a bit too high,it may be reduced to 10%.

印度国民性格比较“乐天知命，随遇而安”，发展不求最新最快，够用就行，体现在铁路建设上也是不追求最快，这样给政府和百姓的负担都不会特别大。2012年10月，印度北部城市阿格拉，站台上候车的乘客在洗漱。
