You know what? I'm not sleeping tonight either!
Remember Fun.? You know, those guys who won two Grammys and ruled your world a couple years ago with a bunch of massive pop hits like “We Are Young”? Well, they’re back and clearly the magic hasn’t faded.
The group appeared on “The Tonight Show” on Wednesday night to debut their new single, “Harsh Lights,” and, from the sound of it, they’re jumping right back into the chart-smashing game. The majestic, “whoo-ooh-ooh”-filled mid-tempo anthem featured singer Nate Ruess’ signature yearning vocals about bleary-eyed partiers looking for some meaning, hope and redemption in late nights under, yes, harsh lights. “There’s such a fine line/but I’m not sleeping tonight,” Ruess yelped in the pre-chorus. “We all got scars/I’m slipping into midnight under harsh lights/and nothing here is bringing me down.”
And, of course, Bleachers frontman and Fun. guitarist Jack Antonoff was right by his side, ripping off a Queen-worthy guitar solo and big, crunchy chords.

Fun. Debuts New Song, "Harsh Lights' on 'The Tonight Show'
Fun. is back for some more good times! After taking a break from their mainstream success in 2012 to focus on solo endeavors, the “Some Nights” band have finally released new music.
They debuted their new song, “Harsh Lights,” with a live performance on Wednesday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Sticking with their pop sound and meaningful lyrics, lead singer, Nate Reuss, doesn’t disappoint in hypnotizing us all. “We all got scars,” he sings. “I’m slipping into midnight under harsh lights and nothing gets me down.”
No date or title has been revealed for their third album, but hopefully we’ll hear more new tracks soon!

Fun. Debuts Anthemic New Song 'Harsh Lights' on 'Tonight Show'
fun. are back with a new song from their forthcoming third album called "Harsh Lights."
The members of fun. had been discussing their new album in interviews, so many predicted they'd share a new song when their name appeared as musical guest on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon." The predictions proved true, as the alt-poppers rocked out a new song that sounds like a continuation of their winning formula from 2012's "Some Nights."
The anthemic track features dramatic "whoa-oh-ohs" in its intro and an arena rock-meets-show tunes vibe throughout. Sings Nate Ruess in the chorus, "I'm slipping into midnight under harsh lights and nothing gets me down."
There is still no official release date or title for the new album, though fun. guitarist/songwriter/backing vocalist Jack Antonoff has an album of his own dropping soon.
