Re: backup dancer vs. back dancer
I believe "backdancer" is a word (made up of English loan words, partly abbreviated) used in Japanese, but, as far as I know, the phrase is not used in English, except in reference to the Japanese phrase or Japanese "back dancers". In other words, we do not use the phrase (or, at least it is not in common use) in English to mean dancers who support a musical artist, group, etc. In English they are most often referred to as "backup dancers" or, sometimes, "backing dancers".
"Backup" here, does not have the sense of "a spare"; it means "supporting".
我不清楚在韩国什么意思。不过根据文章所说,此词非英语发源,是英语吸收其他国家的词。这里是从日本那吸收过来。back dancer与backup dancer不同是,backup是替补。back是辅助舞员,(可能也是台上跳舞,却不是主觉,主要舞者)
当然,想要更具体,明确的答案,我可以参考一下你找到back dancer的文章,作为参考,分析其意义
