I started writing there in April 2005 6 months after I found Leslie through watching the film The Bride With White Hair which I rented from my local video shop after a friend had got me interested in HK films.. as soon as I saw him he grabbed hold of me and has never let me go. At that time (october 1st 2004) I had never even heard his name before.. I live in England and am of western decent... finding Leslie was wonderful... at least for the first few days when I thought he was still alive... when I went on one of the computors at my local Library to find out more about him my heart almost stopped beating when loads of Memorial things popped up after I typed in his name. If you went back to the old pillow guestbook (which will only be there for a little while as its shutting down..... don't worry Nadia already has a new guestbook up and running) and went back as far as that april 2005 then you would get an idea what this wonderful man did to me and the effect he had and has on my life... more than words can say I love him now and always.Oh i'll just add this one more thing... You mentioned Farewell My Concubine... well oddly enough I did go to the cinama twice to see this wonderful movie when it was first released and I fell in love with Chen Dieyi.... the thing is that I never looked into who the actor who played him with... back then I was only interested in the characters actors played.... oh how I have wished and wished this had been otherwise... maybe if the internet of today had been around back then I would havee 'found' Leslie.. but it wasn't and getting hold of HK films was a hard task.... it breaks my heart though that I never knew him while he was here... it means that other than TBWWH everything else of Leslie's that I have seen or heard has broken my heart as well as given me pleasure.He is in my heart for all time... everything in life that interests me is to do with him.
