While Gwyneth Paltrow has many celebrity pals, Charlize Theron is not known to be one of them.
However it seems a beautiful friendship is blossoming between the two actresses.
On Sunday, Gwyneth was seen leaving Charlize’s Los Angeles home, apparently after attending a party there.
However it appears it was a casual affair as the Iron Man star was dressed down for the occasion.
After tipping the valet, she was seen hopping into her car with her blonde hair pulled into a tight updo and she wore wayfarer sunglasses over her make-up free face.
Gwyneth, 41, was sporting a white collared garment underneath an olive green pea coat.
Gwyneth counts Cameron Diaz, Chelsea Handler, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Beyonce Jay Z amongst her close friends.
And her newfound bonding with Charlize could be a result of a certain pal they have in common, in the form of Sean Penn.
The 38-year-old Prometheus star has been dating her fellow actor since late last year, and they have just returned home from a romantic holiday to Cabo San Lucas.
Charlize was by her 53-year-old beau’s side last month at his Sean Penn & Friends HELP HAITI HOME Gala.
It just so happens that the event was also attended by Gwyneth and her husband of 10 years, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.
Gwyneth gushed about her pal Jay Z in the latest issue of South Africa’s Fair Lady magazine, praising him as an ‘incredible person’ and adding that her seven-year-old son Moses is keen to follow in his footsteps.
'I think my son would like to be more like Uncle Jay! He asked me the other day how he can look more like Uncle Jay. I said I would have to think about it!'
The proud mother added: ‘He is an amazing hiphop little guy. You can't believe it.
‘I had a note from his teacher the other day. She said, "Dear Mrs. Martin, I would like tell you that all the children sang me ‘Happy Birthday’ today and afterwards Moses did a spontaneous rap that was actually brilliant."'
And Gwyneth wouldn’t mind if Moses grew up to be just like Jay Z, as she told the publication: 'He really has mastered the art of being his own being. He is an incredible person, and so I find it really inspiring.'
