Things were getting hot and heavy for newly dating Hollywood couple Charlize Theron and Sean Penn. Rumors had them nearly engaged, but now suggest that an endless string of nasty fights have the couple breaking up before they even got started. That’s good news for Charlize’s Mom Gerda who reportedly hates Penn’s womanizing ways.
Charlize Theron and Sean Penn have been seen in Hawaii and on the main land with their hands all over one another, as they take their new relationship public.

And until recently, it seemed that everything was smooth sailing for the couple of two months, except for Theron's mother Gerda insisting that the Sean is no good for her daughter.
An insider told Star that the matriarch was unable to forgive Penn's past misdeeds:
"The South African native if fearful that womanizing Sean will break her daughter's heart. While the protective mama bear has never minded their friendship, sources say she 'begged Charlize not to let it turn romantic.'"
Charlize refused to heed her advice but is now seeing that maybe she should have paid more attention.
During a fight at trendy West Hollywood dining locale Chateau Marmont, Theron was allegedly brought to tears by Sean's rakish ways.
An eyewitness to the scene told Star that Charlize was too upset to control herself:
"Sean was flirting with the hostess...Charlize was seething and told him to grow up and act appropriately. She got so upset that she started sobbing at the table."
Friends close to Sean recently told Star that Charlize was affecting a profound change of in him:
"Charlize brings him peace and he's making it a point to watch himself around Jackson. He wants to take care of him like he was his own son."
Apparently, though, he may not be changing fast enough.
