Doctor Who goes to lots of different places, sometimes he has to be in disguise."
PETER Capaldi has kept fans guessing over whether he will use a Scots accent in his first outing as Doctor Who on Christmas Day.
The 55-year-old takes over from Matt Smith tomorrow as he regenerates into the Twelfth Doctor.
He is
the third Scot to play the part after Sylvester McCoy and David Tennant.
But Glasgow-born Peter won’t say yet whether he will follow Tennant and give his Doctor a different accent.
He said: “We’ll see if I use my Scottish accent. Doctor Who goes to lots of different places, sometimes he has to be in disguise.
“It could be any accent.”
Fans saw Peter’s Doctor, at least his eyes, in the 50th anniversary episode.
He says he’ll be tuning in tomorrow to watch Matt Smith bow out, as he makes a fleeting appearance as the regenerated Doctor at the end.

觉得他的口音还是挺标准的！有苏格兰风味。在比如说那个crashing读成了clashing，但还是挺正常的。。不知道会不会重生完了口音再变？

= =只要别太虐就好。我发现看11的，我的英语特高很快，看小10的……被苏格兰口音虐疯了。

@vangaaardian 他不是故意讲普通话，他自己的口音就苏格兰音不太重。英国人的口音都跟他们的阶层、家庭背景和教育有关的。他在这个剧里面貌似就说的他自己平时说的口音来着。
你可以比较一下同样是格拉斯哥那地儿的，Kelly Macdonald和一美的口音就会比较重，雷雷叔口音也比较重但是感觉有点被美国人带跑所以听上去还不太一样。至于Frankie Boyle那种为了增加喜剧效果特意加强了的格拉斯哥口音就更不一样了。感觉皮卡叔的口音和the thick of it的主创Armando Iannucci比较像，都是比较接近普通话那种。

话说为什么没人来8我们的4爷tom baker的口音啊。。他也会把r发成l。。那是啥地方的口音好奇说。。【好想听4爷说利物浦口音啊。。
